Meeting on the issues of development of shipbuilding and navigation

The general director of LLC "ROSFLOTSERVICE" Roman Parshin on the "zero" day of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum took part in a representative round-table conference on the issues development of shipbuilding and navigation in Eurasia.

The event initiated by the United Shipbuilding Corporation, took place at the site of JSC "Admiralty Shipyards".

The round-table conference was attended by:

1. First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy, Industry, Innovative Development and Entrepreneurship, Coordinator of the Expert Council for the Development of the Shipbuilding Industry and Marine Technology Vladimir Vladimirovich Gutenev.

2. President of USC Aleksei Lvovich Rakhmanov.

3. Director of the Department for Cooperation with State Authorities and Public Organizations of JSC "United Shipbuilding Corporation" Andrei Borisovich Usvyatsov.

4. Member of the Board (Minister) for industry and agro-industrial complex of the Eurasian Economic Commission Sergei Sergeevich Sidorsky.

5. Deputy Minister of Transport - Head of the Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport Viktor Aleksandrovich Olersky.

6. Counsellor to the Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic Velanis Dimitrios.

7. Member of the Board of Directors, Salamis Shipyards and Engineering Ltd (SSY) Koros Nikolaos.

8. Chairman of the Board of Directors of LLC "Vodohod", Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Russian Chamber of Shipping Rishat Diasovich Bagautdinov, representatives of European and Korean companies.

9. Head of the RMRS Konstantin Gennadievich Palnikov.

10. President of the Russian Chamber of Shipping Aleksei Yurievich Klyavin.

11. General Director of FSUE "Rosmorport" Andrey Vasilyevich Lavrishchev.

12. General Director of the CSRI "Course" Vitaliy Viktorovich Khanychev.

The atmosphere of the round-table conference was open, companionate and promoted constructive discussion.

In his speech, Victor Olersky noted that the government has adopted a whole package of decisions that work to support shipbuilding: it is an interest rate compensation, a disposal grant and the launch of a leasing mechanism. On the agenda, there is a legislative act that stimulates localization in shipbuilding.

Vladimir Gutenev, in turn, expressed confidence that shipbuilders will be able to follow the president's instruction to increase the share of civil shipbuilding by 30% to 20% by 2025 and to 50% by 2030, as this is facilitated by state mechanisms, including the work of the Industrial Development Fund.

Aleksei Rakhmanov pointed out that the rapid restructuring of the markets has been occurring for a number of years already, and similar times, for all their complexity, often prove promising for the development of certain areas of the economy. Today, shipbuilding is one of such directions, especially considering that the volume of water transportations is increasing all over the world and the port infrastructure is rapidly developing.

The final stage of the round-table conference was the signing of an agreement of understanding which consolidated the intentions of "KRISO ATEC" and "USC" to participate in the integration processes of Eurasian and European shipbuilders, river and marine equipment manufacturers in the framework of mutually beneficial cooperation.
