Participation of "ROSFLOTSERVICE" engineers in R&D for the design of lifeboats and launching devices

Within the framework of the program "Development of shipbuilding and technology for the development of offshore fields for 2013-2030", the CRI "COURSE", commissioned by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, conducted R&D "Designing and creating prototypes of fiberglass self-healing lifeboats with the approval of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping".

The tasks set are:

1. Development of a model range of lifeboats and launching devices.
2. Production of two prototypes.
3. Conducting tests of prototypes and adjusting CD according to the test results.
4. Serial production.

Options for the execution of lifeboats: for dry cargo, fishing, passenger vessels and oil tankers.

Wishing at the design stage to take into account all the pros and cons, the shortcomings of the launching devices and boats of various world manufacturers, the service engineers of LLC "ROSFLOTSERVICE" took an active part in development work and selection of the optimal tactical and technical characteristics of the developed boats and launching devices, provided all possible assistance to engineers Central Research Institute "COURSE" in the modernization and improvement of the project, made adjustments to the existing project documentation.

The goal is the joint creation of a national lifeboat of a new generation with an increased service life and minimum maintenance costs.
