Maintenance and testing of immersion suits on the service base "ROSFLOTSERVICE"

Service is conducted in accordance with the requirements (recommendations)

and guidelines for servicing manufacturers, regulations and

requirements of the “Rules of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping”,

requirements of the International SOLAS Convention, IMO Recommendations and Circulars.

The inspection of immersion suits at the service station is carried out annually.

Each immersion suit at intervals of not more than three years, shall be subjected to an air test to check the strength and tightness of the material, seams and closures.

Such a test should be carried out annually for hydrothermal suits older than 10 years.

The survey of the State drysuits includes:

• Examination in appearance;

• Tests for strength, buoyancy, leakage;

• Use and application of retroreflective material on immersion suits;

• Check of the immersion suits configuration;

• Marking on the immersion suit after reassessment;

• Execution of documents based on the results of the survey.

A certificate stating the extension of the service life for 12 months is attached to the passport of products that have undergone reassessment, or a certificate is prepared in the appropriate form.
