"Through cooperation - to peace and progress."

Under this motto, the VIII International Naval Show began its work. In St. Petersburg, it is held every two years. More than 400 companies took part in it, including 49 foreign companies from 29 countries. The Russian exposition consisted of 105 companies. The attendance of the show was a record - more than 100 thousand people visited the salon during its holding.

The show's themes are, first of all, shipbuilding, armament, sea-based systems, infrastructure, as well as power ship installations, new materials and promising technologies.

On the sea dock and the adjacent water area, there are about 50 ships and boats from the Navy, as well as the BGS of FSS of Russia.

The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, First Deputy Chairman of the Maritime Board under the Government of the Russian Federation Sergey Shishkarev, Governor of St. Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko, Plenipotentiary of the President of Russia in the Siberian Federal District Sergei Menyailo, Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy Vladimir Korolev, the assistant to the president of Russia on questions of military and technical cooperation Vladimir Kozhin.

Within the framework of the show a number of agreements on industrial and technological cooperation were signed, a number of meetings and negotiations were held with potential suppliers of equipment and customers.
