Repair and testing of lifeboats and launching and lifting gears, renewal of boat falls

One of the services provided by ROSFLOTSERVICE is repair and testing of lifeboats made of fiberglass and aluminum alloys, launching and lifting gears, renewal of boat falls.

Boat falls are steel wire ropes attached to the boat at its extremities and connected to a winch, designed for launching and lifting the boat.  

Annual, periodic or emergency maintenance of launching and lifting gears may include:

- repair / replacement of metal structures of the launching and lifting gears; replacement of boat falls;

- repair / replacement of kinematic elements of the launching and lifting gears;

- repair of drives and brakes of the launching and lifting gears;

- repair / modernization of the hook release system;

- testing of the boat gears as soon as required (annual, regular, extraordinary, after repair testing) in accordance with the provisions of Regulation III/20.11.1.2. of the International Convention SOLAS-74.
