Residual thickness of ship pipelines was measured on a tanker in the port of Novorossiysk

At the request of the ship owner BP SHIPPING (ISM Manager ANGLO-EASTERN), we measured the remaining thickness of ship pipelines on the NAMSEN tanker in the port of Novorossiysk.

Measurements of residual thicknesses are performed by ultrasound thickness measurement method. This technique is based on the electromagnetic-acoustic method of sending and receiving ultrasonic vibrations, which allows, depending upon the speed and time of the ultrasonic signals transmission through the material, to determine the thickness of the measured object with a high level of accuracy, without causing any damage to such object.
